DMCA and Intellectual Property Policy

DMCA & Intellectual Property Policy

Last Updated: October 2026

At Coqtest (accessible via https://coqtest.com), this page explains who owns the content on our website, what you may do with it, and how to tell us if you believe something here infringes your rights.

Jewelry photography is easy to copy and often is. We take our own images seriously and we take other people's rights just as seriously, so this page sets out a clear procedure in both directions.

By using our website, you agree to the terms below. If a question about our content is not answered here, email us at [email protected] and we will be glad to help.

Ownership of Content

The text, product photographs, graphics, page layouts, and the Coqtest name and logo on this website are owned by Coqtest or licensed to us. They are protected by United States copyright and trademark law.

Limited Permission for Personal Use

You may view the website, print pages, and save product images to decide what to buy or to show a gift recipient. You may not copy images or text onto another website, marketplace listing, or printed material, or use the Coqtest name to suggest a connection that does not exist, without our written consent. Email us to ask; we usually say yes to fair requests.

Respect for Third-Party Rights

We photograph the pieces we sell and write our own descriptions. Where an image or text comes from a supplier, we use it under license. If you believe material on our website infringes a copyright you own or represent, the procedure below applies.

Filing a DMCA Notice

Send a notice to [email protected] with the subject line DMCA Notice. Under 17 U.S.C. 512(c), it needs to include:

  1. A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act for them.
  2. Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed.
  3. Identification of the material on our website you claim is infringing, with the page address, so we can find it.
  4. Your contact details: your name, your mailing address, and your email address.
  5. A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  6. A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the owner or authorized to act for the owner.

What Happens Next

We acknowledge a complete notice within 2 business days, remove or disable access to the material while we review it, and tell the person who provided the material what has been removed and why. Incomplete notices are returned with a note on what is missing.

Filing a Counter-Notice

If material you provided was removed and you believe the removal was a mistake, send a counter-notice to [email protected] including:

  1. Your physical or electronic signature.
  2. Identification of the material that was removed and the page address where it appeared.
  3. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good faith belief the material was removed by mistake or misidentification.
  4. Your name, mailing address, and email address.
  5. A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for the district in which your address is located, or for New Haven County, Connecticut if outside the United States.
  6. A statement that you will accept service of process from the person who filed the original notice.

We forward the counter-notice to the original complainant. If they do not tell us within 10 business days that they have filed a court action, we may restore the material.

Repeat Infringers

We end the access of any user or supplier found to infringe copyright repeatedly.

Misrepresentation

Under 17 U.S.C. 512(f), anyone who knowingly misrepresents that material is infringing, or that it was removed by mistake, may be liable for damages, including costs and attorney fees. Please make sure a notice or counter-notice is accurate before you send it.

Changes to This Policy

This page is updated when the procedure or the law changes, with the date at the top revised to match.
